Video Streaming: A Complete Guide to Video Delivery: From ABR and CDNs to Players, WebRTC, DRM, and the Economics of Streaming
This tuning sheet collects the throughput-based ABR parameters on one page: bandwidth estimation, safety factors and switching rules for a bitrate ladder. Volume 3 covers ABR in depth, comparing throughput-based, buffer-based and hybrid rung selection, the bitrate ladder, player recovery after stalls and QoE monitoring. Written by Nikolay Sapunov, CEO at Fora Soft.
